Matisse at The Mill Sat 8 Oct 10:30am – Noon.

Come down to this amazing art workshop led by local artist Alice Stallard as part of the wider Fish Friendly Fireworks event. Artwork created at the workshop will be submitted to be projected up on our faithful old mill on November 5th, thus giving us a light display far more friendly to fish than fireworks.
Alice says: ‘The competition is a great opportunity to see your work super-size on the Mill – a chance for a different perspective. My own work is quite small so it’s interesting to think about how it might look in a different format and scale. And for the children involved in the workshops, to have the opportunity to explore different artists and their ways of working whilst exploring their own interests and ideas is exciting, and then to see their artworks celebrated in such a huge and contemporary way is hopefully as fun for them as it is for the grown ups.’
