National Volunteer Week

Help out, learn, join a team and make friends

Tide Mill Volunteer

Happy Volunteer Week!

This week, 1st June – 7th June, the country celebrates national volunteers from across the sectors. This is a time to say thank you for the contributions millions of people make across the U.K. Join us in celebrating and recognising the contribution so many volunteers make.

Volunteering is rewarding but also exciting for so many reasons. Spending time with new people learning new skills is something everyone can enjoy.

The Tide Mill relies on the support of volunteers but also the local community. At the heart of the Mill is the volunteers; we wouldn’t be able to run as sufficiently as we do without them and owe them so much. Giving their time and skills to help at the Mill is something we will always be grateful for. We welcome any type of support, whether that be by volunteering in a variety of roles or donating as a Friend of The Tide Mill.

Here at the Mill, there are so many volunteer roles and so many things our volunteers help with. Our front-of-house volunteers lead guided tours for visitors as well as offering vital information to new and old visitors and supporting the Resident Warden.  The milling and engineering teams are vital parts of the Mill as well as our bagging volunteers who fill and seal flour bags. The media team as well as public relations work with the marketing and PR of the Mill. You can support the administration of the Mill and assist Sales volunteers with the selling and delivery of the flour. The role of Activities and Fundraising volunteers consists of working with Trustees and Friends organising events or fundraising schemes.

If you would like to get involved in any of these roles, contact us by our email enquiries.woodbridgetidemill@gmail.com
